Cure Add Goalkeeping Depth

During the bye week, St. Louis Cure GM/Coach Kirk Lodes refused to be complacent after the 5-2 drubbing the squad gave the Gunners in Week 1. "One of my main concerns has been the lack of a quality backup keeper. We have been searching for the right man and we have found him in Dane Jimmy Nielsen." Nielsen is a veteran of the Danish League, having played 388 league matches during his career. "Nielsen is going to come in and immediately compete for the number one spot. Competition is never a bad thing." To make room for Nielsen, the team announced it has released DC midfielder Rodney Wallace. Lodes, "We are not done making deals. We have one more player in our sights who we hope to bring in on trial." Lodes refused to name that person. In other news, the Cure got a pair of goals from Edson Buddle and one from Javier Morales during a closed door scrimmage.
