St. Louis Cure GM/Coach announced today his team has picked up 18 year old Colombian midfielder Roger Torres. To make room for Torres on their roster, the Cure waived forward Teal Bunbury. Lodes, "When Torres became available, we knew we needed to jump on it. He is an extremely talented playmaker--the type of player Philadelphia sorely needs. It is difficult to let go of a talent like Teal Bunbury, but we think Torres is a little bit more seasoned and has a better chance of seeing playing time this season." Torres will be unavailable for the preseason tuneup versus Gateway United, but Lodes hopes he will be ready for the start of the regular season.
The Crew play on 3/10 also as well as 3/17. You have Rodgers and Renteria. I'll let you use that day too if you want. Basically its the players average if they play 2 games in the same week. Its in the BSL rules. If you want to use CLB 3/10 let me know so I count it. I don't have any CLB players but I'll let you have it if you want.
ReplyDeleteI meant the Crew play tonight 3/9
ReplyDeleteLet's keep it just the 3/17 game--the way we planned. I think that's fairest. If it is OK with you?
ReplyDeleteOf course now I expect Rogers to score 2 goals and add an assist tonight :)
ReplyDeleteI figured for preseason you wanted the most action you could get. Its also a home game for the Crew tonight and its on T.V. (FSC) But, no worries man, we won't count it. Closed Door pracice I guess (Laughs)
